About Wright Air
Wright Air was founded in the 1940s tracing its roots back to Nenana Air Service, Fort Yukon Air and Wein Airlines before becoming Wright Air, based in Fairbanks, in 1966. It served interior Alaska with Cessna 180s and Piper PA-14s.
Its current owner, Bob Bursiel, began his Wright Air Service career as a pilot in 1968 and became owner in 1982, expanding operations with services between Fairbanks and Northern Interior villages. The company began flying the Cessna Grand Caravan in 1991.
The company now offers passenger and cargo service using Cessna Caravans, Piper Navajos and Helio Couriers as well as Cessna 206s and a Beech Bonanza carrying more than 20,000 passengers annually.
