About Nordic Regional Airlines
Nordic Regional Airlines (NORRA) is a carrier based at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport providing services to destinations in the Finnish domestic and Nordic and Baltic regional markets. The carrier, formerly known as Flybe Nordic, was part of a 60:40 joint venture between Flybe and Finnair which was terminated on 01-Apr-2015 after Flybe sold its 60% stake back to Finnair. Furthermore, parent company Flybe Nordic AB changed its name to Nordic Regional Airlines AB following the transfer. NORRA operates a mixed fleet of regional turboprop and jet aircraft.
In Nov-2015, Finnair finalised a deal to sell 60% of Nordic Regional Airlines to StaffPoint Holding and Kilco Oy for EUR1, replacing a Jan-2015 standing MoU to sell the stake to Staffpoint and G W Sahlberg (GWS). The transaction was completed on 30-Nov-2015, with Finnair holding a 40% ownership stake, Staffpoint 45% and Kilco 15%. Finnair repurchased the 60% stake in Oct-2017.
