About FlyViking
FlyViking AS was a Norwegian carrier founded by former Widerøe pilot, Ola Giæver. Previously known as Giaevair, the carrier launched service operations on 27-Mar-2017, with Tromsø/Langnes-Hammerfest service. FlyViking AS was issued an AOC by the Norwegian CAA on 14-Feb-2017. In Dec-2017, FlyViking AS announced plans to cease operations, effective 12-Jan-2018, citing financial and technical issues. It was owned by a Norwegian holding company, Viking Air Norway AS.
